2026 Practice Facility Policy and General Rules

  1. The range is closed from approximately 4:00 PM on Monday until approximately 9:00 AM on Tuesday for clean picking of range balls and mowing maintenance. If weather or holidays do not allow us to perform this maintenance during this time frame, it will be performed on another day as necessary. Please make note of this schedule.
  2. All unused range balls and baskets must be left at the range. Anyone caught taking range balls and baskets from the property will have their membership revoked.
  3. Members issued range key fobs must report any lost or stolen key fobs immediately to the Pro Shop. Members may be charged a $10 replacement fee for any lost key fobs.
  4. When on grass tees, golfers must hit from “In Front of Rope”.
  5. Please respect “Mats Only Days” and hit from the mats only, not on the grass in front of the mats.
  6. Important Note: Just over the mounds on the left side of the range is hole #14. Please be careful not to hit balls over the mounds and aim further right.
  7. Please note the times that instruction is taking place on our enhanced hitting area at the back of the range. Tee position and wind direction could cause balls to land on or near this tee. Please choose clubs with less distance when balls you strike are landing too close to this area.
  8. The back of the driving range is used for lessons only.
  9. Golf Carts are to be parked in the concrete area designated for range parking only. No carts are allowed on the grass hitting area at any time.
  10. Target Flags: Driving range yardages are measured from the posts at the back of the tee to the corresponding-colored flag.
Note: Laser measuring devices are great for practicing because they provide you with the exact yardage to a target from the point where you are hitting.
  1. The practice holes are not to be used as a driving range. You may use them as a practice area and hit a few balls (3 balls maximum) from a spot. You are required to repair your fairway divot(s) and ball mark(s) on the green. Use and lose your own balls, not Prairie Landing range balls.
  2. Be aware of other people using the practice holes and be courteous by stepping aside or moving forward.
  3. On some weekend afternoons/evenings, the practice holes may be closed for a few hours due to a wedding ceremony.
  4. Golf carts for use on the practice holes are based on availability.
  1. Hit balls from the outer edges of the chipping area or from the rough outside of the closely mown grass. Never hit balls from the practice green.
  2. Use your own golf balls. If you would like to use our ball-plunger/shag bag for practice, please feel free to ask an attendant.
  1. Using range balls to practice putting or chipping is not good for developing feel. Please refrain from bringing range balls to the putting green.
  2. If you like to practice putting and chipping, you should start a Shag Bag of your own with regular balls.

At no time are the golf course holes to be used as practice holes. One ball per shot played by the rules of golf. No range balls are allowed on the golf course.

NOTE: Prairie Landing Golf Club reserves the right to suspend privileges or revoke memberships for violation of facility policies, general rules, or poor golf etiquette.

 2026 Golf Cart Agreement/Handicap Agreement

Golf Cart Rules and Regulations: Each person using a golf cart does so at his/her own risk. Each person renting or driving a golf cart is responsible for any personal injury or property damage caused, including, without limitation, injury to him or herself, and damage to the cart, and agrees to indemnify Prairie Landing Golf Club against all loss, claims, or expenses resulting from use of said golf cart.

By my signature, I agree to follow the two basic premises which underlie the USGA Handicap System, namely that each player will try to make the best score at every hole in every round, regardless of where the round is played, and that the player will post every acceptable round for peer review. The player and the players’ Handicap Committee have joint responsibility for adhering to these premises.

Effective as of January 1, 2025, Members are required to have a card on file. Members can use this as a payment option for cart fees, guest fees, and merchandise in the Pro Shop.
